Aims and contect

A 5 minuet scene from my film in the style of romance genre. It appeals to the 18 and over audience because of the violence, and storey line which the older audience can relate to.

My aim will be to give a different approach to romance genre, by using some techniques taken from Dogma 95, such as hand held camera, and natural lighting.

As this is a romance genre film, but I am using techniques from Dogme 95, I have been looking at material from Dogme 95 such as The idiots. I will be looking further into their films.

I intend to direct, shoot, and edit this piece. Being influenced by the directing techniques used by Dogme 95, and the editing of the Chinese new wave, I shall research them both, and develop my learning and understand on both genres. After doing this I hope to be able to combine both styles and have a fresh, inspiring approach to romance genre.
